Keep your progress
Save inside the game first. Then use the game host’s Saves panel to export a virtual PS2 memory card.
REVIEWED OCTOBER 23, 2026 · INDEPENDENT COMPANIONOne File. One browser card.
The host stores a separate virtual card for each File in browser storage. A different profile, browser, device or site origin does not automatically share it. Choosing the same player name does not synchronize the card.
outbreakweb.org cannot read the card stored by outbreakweb.com. This guide has no save-upload, card-recovery or cloud-sync service.
Make a backup
- Complete an in-game save on the game host.
- Open the page’s Saves panel and choose Export copy (.ps2). An empty card has nothing to export.
- Store the downloaded file outside browser storage. Include the File and date in your own backup name to keep copies recognizable.
Move or restore the card
- On the destination browser, open the same File and let it finish loading.
- Export its existing card first if you need to preserve it.
- Choose Import (.ps2), select your exported card, and confirm replacement.
- Allow the host to reload if required. Import replaces that File’s current card; it does not merge individual save slots.
Save before importing. Restoring a card while a session is running can reload the page. Keep a backup of the card you are replacing.
If an import is rejected
The host checks for a formatted PS2 memory card with an expected header and a size of 8,650,752 bytes. An individual save-slot file, renamed document or arbitrary download is not a full card.
Prefer a card exported by the same game host. Keep the original copy unchanged if you are unsure which file you selected.
Avoid preventable loss
Export before clearing site data, changing browser profiles or retiring a device. Private browsing can discard the local card. The host’s Delete action is destructive; it is not a repair step for an unknown save problem.
